There are two ways to mark the score card. For the true beginners, taking strokes mean that your course will allow you to reduce your score. If you mark the card in manner of top, you can divide each of those boxes with a slash.Store All Details Regarding CourseScore cards will store useful information like course diagram, name of architect, and name of course’s head professional or special local rules which may apply as white stakes out of bounds areas. It is common in match play vs par, you have to match to system of plus or dot to denote your winning status.

We had one recently that I organised- 4 days/ 16 guys. Handicaps from single figures to high 20's. Our format was teams of 8 (in pairs) competing for points Ryder Cup style as follows:Day 1:STABLEFORD (Match Play): Each player plays their ball until holed (or until you run out of shots for the hole). The pairing with the player who gets the most stableford points wins the hole. The pairing who wins the most holes gets the point for their team.Day 2MODIFIED STABLEFORD: each player on the team plays their individual ball until holed (or until you run out of shots for the hole). The players’ individual stableford points for the hole for each team are multiplied together.
The pairing with the most points at the end of 18 holes wins the point for their team.i.e: Team one: Player A gets 3 stableford points, player B gets 2 points. Team gets 6 points for the hole. Team 2: Player C gets 4 points, player D gets a wipe (0 points). 0 points for holeDay 3AMBROSE (Stroke): All the players on the team tee off. The team selects the best shot and the other player pick up their ball and everyone plays within one club length (no closer to the hole) of the best shot. Repeat until the ball is in the hole.
Handicap is the 2 combined handicaps divided by 4. Minimum 6 tee shots have to be taken per player. Team with the lowest score at the end of 18 holes wins the point.Day 4:TEAM MATCH PLAY (Combined Score): where each team’s NET scores are added together and the team with the lowest score wins the hole. The pairing who wins the most holes wins the point.ALSO: We'll be applying some 'RELAXED RULES' for the trip. Normal golf rules apply except for the following:.PENALTIES: All are one stroke, including out of bounds, water and lateral hazards, lost ball and unplayable lie. Drop a ball near where the original was lost and play on.GET A GOOD LIE: Players can move the ball 30cm's.
Anywhere on the course EXCEPT for Greens.CONCEDED PUTTS: Putts may be conceded with your playing partners’ consent.TRY THAT AGAIN: Each player can have one mulligan per round- EXCLUDES putts.MAXIMUM SCORE: NET Triple Bogey (i.e. 6 on par 3s, 7 on par 4s.). Compulsory to then pick the ball up. Score is recorded as a net triple bogeySide Bets: had the usual nearest the pin and longest drive- but each player had drawn someone else. So if the person you had drawn gets the LD, you get the cash. Also had a pink ball for each foursome.
One player from the 4 used it for a hole, then it went to the next player. Once the ball was lost, all 4 players had to pay $2 for each hole left (ie lost it in the 8th- each player is up for $20). Money went on the barEnjoy!.
